Based at The John Radcliffe Hospital, TheHill is Oxfordshire’s health and care digital transformation catalyst. The team runs innovation cluster, incubator, accelerator and digital education programmes in Oxfordshire and across the Thames Valley with NHS Trusts, universities, digital developers, innovators and investors. Their mission is to promote and encourage commercial and impactful technological solutions to problems in health and care.

Since March 2020, to meet the changing needs of healthcare and innovators alike, TheHill quickly grew from a team of three to a team of ten, switching all of their programmes, events and recruitment online.

A cautious estimate is that the team has collectively spent over 700 hours on several different online platforms; so where else to meet for the team Christmas party, as Director Megan Morys-Carter explains:  “Half of the team have never actually met each other in person. Despite that we have a great team spirit and have delivered hundreds of hours of events online this year. It’s wonderful to work with such a fantastic team. Our online Christmas do was great fun and Secret Santa even managed to deliver parcels internationally!”

Online awards, creative competitions, quizzes, and a visit from virtual Santa kept the team entertained with the highlight a beautiful bespoke carol from Bicester theatrical group StAges.

If you are interested in innovation in health and care, join TheHill for their next online networking event in February 2021.
