[dropcap type =”circle”]B[/dropcap]icester Jiu Jitsu coaches David Plested and Natalie Nicholson are celebrating today after achieving huge international successes in Las Vegas.
David and Natalie coach at RGA Bicester which is based at St Edburg’s Primary School, and secured their victories at the IBJJF World Masters competition.
The IBJJF Worlds is the pinnacle of competition in the sport of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, and the World Masters is held annually in Las Vegas.
David and Natalie tested themselves against the world’s best and came away victorious. David who is head instructor at RGA Bicester, fought his way through a 16 man bracket to take a bronze medal and Natalie Nicholson who runs the ladies only self-defence class fought her way through an 8 women bracket, also coming away with a bronze medal.
Kirk Harrington from the club said: “Both David and Natalie do amazing things in the local community, running fantastic kid’s courses and the women only self-defence program. The Bicester club currently trains out of St Edburg’s Primary School hall so it’s absolutely amazing to see two people from such a humble background not only competing at such a high-level competition but also coming away winning.”
