Nominations open for the 2017 Community Policing Awards

[dropcap type =”circle”]N[/dropcap]ominations are open for this year’s Thames Valley Police Community Policing Awards. The Awards are an opportunity for members of the public to recognise the work of community officers, staff and volunteers.
In its 16th year, the award ceremony will be held at Eynsham Hall in May.
Winner of the 2016 Volunteer Award, Melanie Ridgeway, said being chosen as a winner is a huge honour: “Winning the award was a very special event for me and acknowledged all the commitment and work I have happily given to the Mounted Section over the years. Working with such a dedicated team of people is a pleasure and I look forward to my continuing volunteering sessions.”

There are seven categories this year:
Community Police Officer 2017
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) 2017
Special Constable 2017
Diversity Champion 2017
Cadet 2017
Volunteer 2017
Community Volunteer 2017
Community Volunteers are not associated with Thames Valley Police but support community engagement.
