Blenheim Palace Food Festival

[dropcap type =”circle”]F[/dropcap]or the sixth year running, Fantastic Food Festivals will return to magnificent Blenheim Palace during the second May Bank Holiday (25th – 27th May 2019) for a gastronomic weekend packed with engaging and educational demonstrations from celebrity and local chefs, as well as a multitude of interactive family-friendly activities within the stunning grounds of the palace.

Each year the Fantastic Food Festivals team strive to evolve and to offer something unique. In 2019 the focus is on education, environment and food for everyone with a new free-from ‘Nature’s Pantry’ area plus more tastings than ever before! Up to 160 regional food and drink exhibitors will be on hand to tickle your taste buds, from artisan bakers, craft brewers, gourmet burgers and international cuisine to traditional ice creams and handmade sweets.

Festival Managing Director Bill Prosser said: “The food festival was a huge success last year and we’re delighted to return to beautiful Blenheim Palace for a weekend of gastronomic treats! We’re excited to launch the ‘Nature’s Pantry’, a specialist area consisting of Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Organic producers, so delicious food is available to satisfy every diet.”

Bill added: “We look forward to welcoming some of the country’s top talented chefs, celebrities and experts to the Festival Kitchen. This year’s incredible line-up includes Raymond Blanc MBE, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Angellica Bell. The overriding theme at the Festival is education – we hope all our guests will leave with a new skill or a better understanding of culinary or seasonal produce. Blenheim Palaces’ environmentalist will also be on hand to discuss current environmental issues.”

With 2000 acres of extraordinary parkland and formal gardens there is plenty of space to let the children run wild and explore. The glorious views across the great lake make the perfect backdrop to enjoy a family picnic of food and drink from the festival.
