[dropcap type =”circle”]V[/dropcap]ictoria Prentis MP has invited the Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson MP, to visit the Heyford and Bicester Veterans group.
Speaking during Defence Questions in the Chamber, Victoria highlighted the work of the group, which provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for veterans and their families. Working with a number of charities and organisations, Heyford and Bicester veterans offer support and guidance to those most in need during their monthly meetings in Upper Heyford. As the MP for the area, Victoria has had the opportunity to visit the group on a number of occasions to discuss their work and support individuals with any concerns.
Victoria said: “At this time of year we all start to wear red poppies in remembrance of those who have died in service of their country but the support for veterans and their families should not end there. Today I asked Gavin Williamson, the Secretary of State for Defence, to visit the Veterans group. I look forward to welcoming him in the near future.”
