COUNTRYFILE LIVE-THIS SUMMER’S BEST DAY OUT!

[dropcap type =”circle”]T[/dropcap]he best country fair in the world returns to Blenheim Palace this weekend as Countryfile Live gives visitors the chance to explore rural living and celebrate 30 years of Countryfile.

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF COUNTRYFILE

This year at BBC Countryfile Live not only will there be the opportunity to get up close and personal with your favourite presenters at the main theatre show, there’s also the chance to get a real glimpse behind the scenes. The Countryfile Experience, is a new addition to this year’s event at Blenheim.

Celebrating 30 years on air, ‘The Countryfile Experience’ explores every aspect of the TV show and will host an exhibition area taking visitors behind the scenes, as well as a Q&A theatre show with the presenters themselves.
This exciting, interactive experience will give visitors to Countryfile Live the opportunity to find out more about the UK’s favourite factual television programme. This summer marks 30 years since Countryfile first appeared on our screens and this special exhibition will explore how this once small scale, Sunday morning, rural affairs programme has gone from strength to strength since it started in July 1988.

From research to transmission, come and see how the programme is put together and learn more about how each episode is created. There will be members of the production team on-hand to answer any questions you might have, too.
This behind-the-scenes insight will give you a real chance to discover how the programme is made. From Camera Operators to Production Coordinators, Dubbing Mixers to Directors, Presenters to Producers; there are more than twenty different roles on the programme, each doing their part to pull the show together week after week.

There is something for everyone at the event and visitors can picnic on the village green, have a splash in the river, meet the animals on Adam’s Farm, be entertained in the equine arena that is sponsored by the RSPCA, trace the story of food and farming in the Farming in Action area, wander though the wildlife zone and even hone your skills in the National Trust Farmyard Cookery Theatre.

On Saturday from 6pm there is also the Countryfile Summer Party with Bob Harris and appearances from The Shires and Newton Faulkner.
