Lambing live event is a chance to greet new life on the farm

[dropcap type =”circle”]A[/dropcap]n Oxfordshire farm is throwing open its gates to visitors for three weeks during lambing this Easter.
Sheep farmers David and Fiona Taylor, of Hadsham Farm, at Horley, near Banbury, will be welcoming families for a ‘lambing live’ event. It will run from this Saturday (April 10 right up until the end of the Easter school holiday on April 23, from 10am-4pm each day, including bank holidays.
Farmer David Taylor said: “This is great opportunity to understand how sheep farming helps to shape the Oxfordshire countryside and to celebrate new life on the farm. Our lambing event will be a great experience for all the family – with various additional activities, refreshments and a chance to meet the farmers and ask any questions you like!
“There will be story boards which will help to explain the annual cycle of a sheep’s life. You may even be lucky enough to see a lamb being born – you can certainly hold one!”
There will also be a chance to get up close to chicks. The farm has parking facilities, picnic areas, a play area, plus toilets and hand-washing facilities. A small admission fee applies.
