Go green this year and freshen up your living space

[dropcap type=”circle”]T[/dropcap]he Pantone colour of the year for 2017 is Greenery; a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.
Every year, Pantone, which is the world’s leading authority on colour for designers working in interiors, fashion and beauty, announces its new shade and this year it is all about going green.

Greenery (shade 15-0343) has been chosen because it symbolises the reawakening of nature in spring and is a symbol for a new beginning.
Open spaces in interior and exterior design and floor-to-ceiling windows allow the green outdoors to become part of a room’s backdrop and ambiance. Adding Greenery through living walls, terrariums, botanically-themed wallpaper, paint, accent furniture and accessories provides respite and breathing space. A Greenery-painted wall or piece of furniture delivers a pop of colour, with the added benefit of creating the illusion of nature indoors.

Bringing the outside in can improve self-esteem, reduce anxiety and heighten awareness of your surroundings.
